Biography:
Steve Burton is iconic to video game audiences everywhere for his portrayal as the original Cloud Strife in the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy Franchise. Burton voiced Cloud Strife for over 15 years for both game franchises. He made his daytime television debut on "Days of Our Lives" before landing the contract role of Jason Quartermaine on "General Hospital" in 1991. He won a Daytime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role of Jason Morgan in 1998. He left "General Hospital" in 2000 to pursue other roles. In 2001, Burton made his feature film debut in "The Last Castle" starring James Gandolfini and Robert Redford. In that same year, he also appeared in the Steven Spielberg Emmy Award-winning miniseries "Taken." Burton returned to the role of Jason Morgan on "General Hospital" in 2017 and now is touring the country with his comedy show! In November 2021, Burton was fired from General Hospital due to his refusal to comply with the production's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. In April 2022, it was announced Burton had joined the cast of Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem in his former Days of Our Lives role as Harris Michaels.
